Treasure Valley Chapter #143 has opened doors with landowners for youth hunting! As reported by the IdahoStatesman the chapter has made arrangements for over 700 acres to be opened up for youth only hunts in south west Idaho. Youth will be required to have passed the Idaho hunter safety education course, be between 10 and 15 years of age, and be accompanied by a non hunting adult.
Treasure Valley Chapter celebrated their 20th anniversary last October. The chapter won the ‘Conservation group of the year’ award for 2008 from the Idaho Fish & Game. More than $500,000 dollars has been raised and put into the ground from this chapter around the state. Chapter members are currently working on several projects including signing some of over 400 plots of land that have been enhanced.
